The COMMpanion Executive Health program is a health and wellness package designed specifically for busy executives, high-level professionals and their partners. The program features a set of preventative care services such as extended annual physical appointment with a dedicated physician, nutrition consultations, fitness center membership and personal training, mindfulness courses and psychological counseling. The goal of the program is to improve our member's overall well-being while also smoothing the administrative friction that can occur in a healthcare setting.
The Executive Health program seeks to offer personalized attention, longer appointments, 24/7 access to care, and a focus on preventive health, unlike traditional primary care which focuses on episodic care and often involves shorter visits and longer wait times. We would be happy to welcome you as a primary care patient, if you choose to do so.
However, you may wish to keep your usual primary care doctor and think of the visits with your Penn State Health provider as a chance to receive an in-depth second opinion on your health goals. After the visit, you will receive a detailed health management plan that you can discuss with your primary care provider.
At this time, only companies can enroll their employees in our Executive Health program. If you are a member benefits officer in the Harrisburg, PA region, and you are interested in offering this service to your employees, please email us at commpanion@pennstatehealth.psu.edu.
Many of the services covered in the Executive Health program can be viewed as health maintenance-related; any services that might require specialty care or hospitalization would not be covered. We recommend checking with your insurance provider for specific details about your coverage.
Yes, we offer a variety of formats in which you may interact with your care team, including in-person, video or phone conversations, and messaging via our patient portal.
We have a network of trusted specialists and can facilitate quick referrals when necessary. We also leverage technology through electronic consultations, enabling your primary care physician to rapidly consult a specialist about your care plan. Specialist care will be billed separately to you or your insurance.
